补充资料:叠溪地震遗址

叠溪地震遗址位于茂县较场乡东南2.5公里,岷江东岸二级台地上,背靠七珠山,下临岷江河,面积22万平方米。据文献记载,叠溪汉为蚕陵县,唐初为冀州,明为叠溪千户所,清改为卫,民国隶茂县。而叠溪城为“贞观时筑,明洪武十一年御使大夫丁玉讨复故地,命指挥童胜复筑。高一丈,围三百几十丈,门四。成化间重修。”叠溪城扼松茂要道之冲,即是军事重镇亦是商留集散地。 1937年8月25日,此地发生7.5级强烈地震,山崩地裂,台地下陷,古城沉没,城中军民三千余人全部遇难。地震后古城仅残存东门瓮城一角,南墙一段石狮、石辗、石碑、石缸各一。该遗址至今仍完好地保留着,已成为世界上唯一保存完好的地震毁灭的古城遗址.是国际地震界研究地震的重要现场。州级文物保护单位。
