| 威斯康星州 Wisconsin State 美国北部一州。别称獾州。西北濒苏必利尔湖，东临密歇根湖。面积14.53万平方千米。人口490.67万（1990），城市人口约占65％。首府麦迪逊。 北部是苏必利尔高地，南部是平原。有1万多个湖泊。第四纪时全境除西南部外，均遭冰川覆盖，故多数为冰蚀湖。温带大陆性气候，冬季严寒、夏季炎热，受大湖调节，滨湖地带气候较温和。年平均降水量760毫米，春夏较多。森林覆盖率45％，主要分布在北部。 早期为印第安人居住地。1670年为法国殖民地 。1763年归英国管辖。1788年归属美国。1848年成为美国第30个州。 农业以乳用畜牧业为主，乳牛头数和牛奶产量居全美之冠。种植业以饲用作物为主，干草、玉米、燕麦产量名列前茅。食品工业发达，尤以乳酪业闻名，乳酪和炼乳产量全美第一。其他工业有非电气机械、金属制品、电器、造纸等。工业主要分布在东南部，密尔沃基是全州第一大城市和制造业中心。旅游业是第三大行业，州内风光秀美，娱乐设施齐全，是极负盛名的游览度假胜地。交通发达，水运居重要地位。铁路、公路、空运和港口共同组成了现代化的运输系统，以麦迪逊和密尔沃基市为中心，通向四面八方。 |
