分类地位非褶菌目>多孔菌科>拟层孔菌属>
形态特征子实体中等至较大,多年生,木栓质。菌盖扁平往往呈覆瓦状,2.5-7cm×3-12cm,厚5-3.5mm,初期近白色渐变为红褐色,边缘近白色,表面光滑,有不明显环纹,或粗糙不平。边缘薄或厚,波浪状至瓣裂,受伤处由白色变深色。菌肉厚4-30mm,近白色,新鲜对浅肉色,木质,有环纹。菌管近似菌肉色,长2-10mm,往往单层,壁薄。菌口近圆形至多角形,近白色,淡粉灰色至浅褐色,每毫米4-6个。菌丝无色,粗5.5-8μm,无横隔。菌肉及菌管遇KOH时变为黑色。孢子无色,光滑,卵圆形,4-7.5μm×3-5μm。
