在土体中进行的脱硅富铁铝过程（简称富铝化过程）。
在热带、亚热带高温多雨，并有一定的干湿季节条件下，铝硅酸盐类发生强烈分解，释放出大量盐基物质，风化液呈中性或碱性反应，硅大量淋失（硅的溶解度大），盐基离子大量淋失，铁铝沉积（溶解度小），滞于原土层而相对富积，使土体呈现鲜红色。
