性质:诱变育种的手段之一。用电离辐射或非电离辐射诱发微生物的突变。辐射的直接作用可使DNA骨架断裂,引起染色体畸变;也可使DNA分子上相邻的胸腺嘧啶成为二聚体,引起DNA分子扭曲而影响正常复制和转录,造成致死或突变。辐射的间接作用是使细胞产生碱基类似物而诱发突变;或使细胞产生过氧化氢和自由基,并通过它们的继发反应诱发突变。
