曾是百济首都要塞的所在地，山上建有许多古代亭阁，游客可以花上数小时漫步于山间的羊肠小道，欣赏山上景色。沿着悬崖绝壁至白马江畔的下坡路，徐徐而行，途中有一座百花亭，是韩国最美丽的亭阁，建在俯瞰白马江的悬崖绝壁之上。据说在百济灭亡时，3000名百济宫女因遭新罗、唐韩联军追逐，走投无路，集体在此外投江自尽。当时她们投江的身影，犹如杜鹃花凋谢坠落，故称此亭所在的岩壁为落花岩。从百花亭沿着陡峭的阶梯拾级而下，还有一座皋兰寺。游客由扶余郊区公共汽车站步行到扶苏山山门口仅需8分钟。
