阿尔塔米拉洞穴壁画 rock paintings of Altamira Cave 欧洲旧石器时代晚期壁画。在西班牙北部桑坦德市的阿尔塔米拉洞穴内。1879年发现。最初学术界不同意是原始人的作品,至 1902 年才获承认。洞穴长270米,大部分壁画分布在长18米的侧洞的顶和壁上。内容主要是涂有红、黑、紫色的成群野牛,还有野猪、野马和赤鹿等,总数达150多只。这些动物形象描画得细腻生动,栩栩如生。其中画一头野牛受伤卧地,低头怒视前方,把牛的野性表现得十分逼真,被公认为世界美术史上原始绘画的代表作。洞中还有镌刻的人物形象及手轮廓图形等。在洞穴前部,发现了旧石器时代晚期文化的遗物,为确定岩画的年代提供了证据。一般认为,壁画内容可能与原始人祈求狩猎成功的巫术活动有关。
