The Jolly Seber model is the most useful model in the marked recapture method for open population and easily to be applied, but often requires a large number of parameters to be estimated then would otherwise be necessary.

三偎号重巡洋舰
重巡洋舰三隈号是最上级的二号舰,跟最上号同期建造.但是因为在建造的时候发现了舰体强度不足的问题,所以三隈号跟最上号在试航之后接受了大改装,使得实际的就役时间大幅的拖后.
在昭和十二年(1937)伦敦军缩条约失效后,也就是所谓的无条约时代来临后,三威号跟姊妹舰三艘都将五座三连装十五点五厘米主炮塔换成五座连装二十厘米主炮塔而变成了重巡洋舰.从最上号跟三隈号拆下来的三连装炮塔被利用作为巨大战舰大和号跟武藏号的副炮.两艘战舰总共装用八座三连装十五点五厘米炮塔.
太平洋战争开战时,三隈号跟三艘姊妹舰编成重巡洋舰第七战队,在栗田健男少将的带领下,隶属于小泽治三郎中将的南遣舰队,而陆续的参加了在南洋攻略战中的大大小小数场战役.其中值得一提的便是巴达维亚海战.
昭和十七年二月二十八日夜间,重巡洋舰第七战队正担任日军爪哇岛攻略部队西路登陆船团的护航任务.却遭遇到美军重巡洋舰休斯顿号跟澳大利亚轻巡洋舰珀斯号,第七战队奋起抗敌,美军舰队势单力薄,根本不是四艘重巡洋舰的对手.结果双双被击沉。
