孟良崮旅游区位于临沂市蒙阴县和沂南县交界处，属蒙山山系，相传宋朝杨家军将领孟良曾屯兵于此，故名。1974年5月，华东野战军于孟良崮一举歼灭了国民党的精锐部队整编七十四师，击毙该师师长张灵甫，孟良崮由此而名扬海外。
