| 羯 中国古代北方民族。又称羯胡。魏晋时，主要分布在上党郡（今山西潞城附近各县）武乡、羯室一带，与汉人杂居。羯人深目、高鼻、多须。约于汉代为匈奴所俘而随之入塞。从事农业，或做佣工，亦操商贩。本信仰“胡天”(祅教)，后多信佛教。俗火葬。羯人石勒于319年建立赵国，史称后赵，为十六国之一，349年为冉闵所灭。羯人最后主要同化于汉族之中。 |
