The authors studied the ecology of Silver Pheasant mainly by the method of observing at fixed spots with baits in Ba Wang Ling Nature Reserve on Hainan Island during the middle of 1986 through the end of 1993, they found that the existence of the Hainan subspecies of Silver Pheasant(Lophura nycthemera whiteheadi)was facing dangerous threatening.
目前全岛有白鹇分布的残存林区面积仅７４０ｋｍ~２，乐观估计白鹇数量已不足８８００只，白鹇海南亚种已处于渐危至濒危级别，必须尽快采取有效的保护措施。

| 海南大叶种(Hainan dayezhong) 茶树有性群体品种之一，原产海南省。 植株乔木型，大叶类。树姿开展，叶形卵圆或椭圆，叶色绿，富光泽，叶肉厚，叶面隆起，栅状组织一层，栅状组织与海绵组织之比约为1∶2，芽叶肥壮，茸毛少，嫩叶黄绿色。发芽期早生，生长期长，育芽能力强，发育尚密而整齐，但持嫩性较差。鲜叶中茶多酚含量31.63%，儿茶素239.69mg/g，水浸出物49.26%，咖啡碱4.38%。适制红茶，适宜于华南茶区推广。 |
