捕光复合物(light -harvesting complex)

由只具有吸收聚集光能的作用, 而无光化学活性的色素分子组成的复合物。典型的捕光复合物是由几百个叶绿素分子、数量不等但都与蛋白质连接在一起的类胡萝卜素分子所组成。当一个光子被捕 光复合物中的一个叶绿素或类胡萝卜素分子吸收时, 就有一个电子被激活,激发状态从一个色素向另一个色素传递,直到传递给反应中心。
