Astasia

   裸藻门变胞藻科的一属 。 均为具一条鞭毛的单细胞体,体形易变,常呈纺锤形或圆柱形;无眼点;无色素体;同化产物为淀粉;渗透腐生营养。本属约35种,中国现有记录仅6 种。多生长在有机质丰富的静水小水体中,也存在于处理污水的活性污泥中。常见种类有尾变胞藻。本属形态上与裸藻属相似。在实验室培养中,把裸藻属中某些种类去除色素,可与变胞藻属某些种类的特征近似。故有些藻类学家认为变胞藻可能是绿色裸藻去色素体演化来的。
