| 长崎 Nagasaki 日本九州岛港口城市，长崎县首府。位于长崎半岛北部，西南濒长崎湾。面积241平方千米，人口约45万。四周为长崎火山群，浦上川、中岛川流经市区，注入长崎湾。气候温暖多雨。港口外侧，岛屿散布，形成自然防波屏障，为一天然良港。原名琼浦、深津江，镰仓时代改称长崎。1571年开港。1889年设市。1945年8月，美国在长崎投下继广岛后的第二颗原子弹，居民死伤14万多人，市区约1／3被毁。1949年在投弹中心地区修建国际文化馆和国际和平公园。工业以机械工业为主。造船工业著称于世，长崎造船厂（三菱）是世界最大的造船厂之一。为重要渔业基地，年产鱼20万吨左右，主要为沙丁鱼、鯵、鲭等。市内有兴福寺、大浦和出岛荷兰商馆、原子弹爆炸中心等游览胜地，每年接待国内外游客达1000万人次。长崎县有国立长崎大学、水产学部和外贸学科等文教机构。
