广东潮州饶平县黄冈镇仙春乡东面的长宁庵,位于县城通往所城东界公路之左侧,后靠虎头山,前有笔架山,东侧狮头山,西畔平原,竹林溪从福建诏安县长流来至庵前东邻。创建于明(1368—1644),历代重修。曾是乡人名僧释纯鉴及其高徒释定持卓钖并重修古刹。

庵于清乾隆三十六年辛卯(1771)由住持释典义募化重修。1980年起,梵宇重兴,住持释年尼、释定义与乡众捐救初修,后由释达海募化、乡亲献地出力,扩建外围墙、外埕花圃等,于戊辰(1988)完成主座及僧房等修葺。再由香港定因法师捐款,于1991年9月29日重修告竣开光。2000年起在庵后重建大雄宝殿、功德堂。

庵坐北向南,建设面积1千余平方米,分为天王殿、大雄宝殿、功德堂、祖厅、客厅、尼舍、斋堂等。清修院也属庵管辖,它占地约3亩,今一厅二房一天井一菜园,建筑约400平方米。长宁庵,山水环绕,花林修竹,环境清幽。
