蜱螨亚纲真螨目瘿螨科的 1种。俗称柑橘瘤壁虱。柑橘的重要害螨，为害春梢嫩叶、花芽、嫩腋芽和初生嫩梢细枝，形成椒子状螨瘿，使叶片不能抽出，不能开花结果。为国内和国际检疫对象。雌螨体纺锤形,长170～180微米,黄至橘色头胸板花纹通常模糊，有主要纵线3条,中线间断，在头胸板后缘前方有一个箭头符号；侧中线完整，亚中线向后延伸至背瘤，并在背瘤前方一条横曲线相遇。背瘤位于头胸板后缘。背毛指向后方。腹部有背片65～70片，腹片较背片略少。腹部微瘤椭圆形。生殖盖有肋10～12条。羽状爪5枝。
