| 苜蓿属(medic) 豆科苜蓿属，学名Medicago L., 一年生或多年生草本，少数为小灌木，茎多直立，叶为小三叶组成。本属有65个种，多年生种可概分为紫花、杂花和黄花三大种群。紫花苜蓿经济价值较高，黄花苜蓿抗逆性较强。 杂花苜蓿是紫、黄两种苜蓿经天然或人工杂交而得，兼有二者的特性。由于适应性广泛，抗病及抗寒能力强，且高产，在生产中日益发展。一年生或越年生的苜蓿种类很多，分布亦很广，如金花菜，天蓝苜蓿M.lupulina L.,小苜蓿M.minima Bart以及矩镰果苜蓿M.archiclucis Nicoki G.Sirjaer等，在中国南方或北方天然生长较普遍。但除金花菜外，用作栽培者甚少。近年来引进的有圆形苜蓿M.orbicularis Bart.、小瘤苜蓿M.tubercuata Willd、蜗牛苜蓿M.scutellata (L.) Mill等，开始小面积种植。除金花菜的染色体数2n=14外，多数苜蓿的二倍体为2n=16。而紫花苜蓿、黄花苜蓿和杂种苜蓿以及天蓝苜蓿多属四倍体，2n=4x=32。上述这些种均具饲用价值和肥田作用。 |
