一、理化性质
前白蛋白（prealbumin, pa），分子量5.4万，由肝细胞合成，在电泳分离时，常显示在白蛋白的前方，其半衰期很短，仅约12小时。因此，测定其在血浆中的浓度对于了解蛋白质的营养不良、肝功能不全、比之白蛋白和转铁蛋白具有更高的敏感性。
二、生理功能
pa除了作为组织修补的材料外，还可视为一种运载蛋白，它结合t4与t3，而对t3亲和力更大，pa与视黄醇结合蛋白形成复合物，具有运载维生素a的作用。
三、临床意义
除了作为一种灵敏的营养蛋白质指标，pa在急性炎症、恶性肿瘤、肝硬化或肾炎时其血浓度下降。
