描述BelostemmaWall.exWight.箭药藤属，萝藦科，有箭药藤B.hirsutumWall.exWight等2种，分布于印度、尼泊尔和我国云南南部及四川。藤本或半灌木；叶对生；聚伞花序腋生或腋外生；花萼里面基部有5个腺体；花冠辐状，裂片镊合状排列，合蕊柱露出花冠喉部之外；副花冠着生于雄蕊背面，5裂，裂片肉质，镰刀状，呈星状水平张开；花药顶端具膜质附属物；花粉块每室1个，近圆球状，水平横放，略向上举；雌蕊由2枚离生心皮组成，柱头扁平，呈盘状五角形。
