又称李针层孔菌。
子实体较小，马蹄形，扁半圆形，有时平伏，偶尔呈覆瓦状，木质。菌盖小，半圆形，剖面近三角形，宽2-3cm，表面初期锈褐色，有细绒毛，渐变光滑，浅粉灰色，深棕色，有时有棱纹、边缘厚。菌肉锈褐色，菌管与菌肉同色，多层，有时老年时生白色菌丝体，管孔面浅茶褐色，孔口近圆形或多角形，每毫米4-5个，此菌与针层孔菌，稀针层孔菌相近似、不同点是针层孔菌子实体小，褐色到灰棕色。
生于李、野苹果、桃等树木的主枝和树干上。
分布于我国河北、山西、辽宁、吉林、宁夏、江苏、江西、浙江、新疆、四川、河南、陕西、云南等地区。
属木腐朽菌。危害李属、桃属、梨属及苹果属的树木，引起心材白色腐朽。
