物种特征:描述：体小（20厘米）的绿色蜂虎。尾形延长，头顶及枕部铜色，喉及脸侧淡蓝，前领黑。与栗头蜂虎区别在喉蓝色，尾形延长。与蓝喉蜂虎区别在尾及腹部绿色，前领黑色。 虹膜－绯红；嘴－褐黑；脚－黄褐。 叫声：比其他蜂虎具更高的多金属音质颤音。停栖或飞行时发出响铃般悦耳的tree-tree-tree或tit-tit-tit声。 分布范围：非洲、中东至中国西南部及东南亚。 分布状况：不常见。繁殖于中国云南西部及南部的低海拔地区。 习性：栖于干燥的开阔原野，上至海拔1500米。以小群从枯树上捕食。喜泥浴。
