蚜科昆虫的1种。主要异名有 Macrosiphum grana-rium;Macrosiphum akebiae。是麦类大害虫。前期为害叶,后期为害穗,受害叶有褐色斑点或斑块。受害穗千粒重下降。还可传带小麦黄矮病和萝卜黄化病等植物病毒,造成减产。分布于中国、亚洲、东非、欧洲及北美洲。其寄主植物为麦类、稻、甘蔗等禾本科植物。
无翅孤雌蚜体长 3.1毫米。活体草绿至橙红色。背侧面有时有纵行横斑。腹部后几节有横网纹,第 8节有背毛 4根。触角为体长的0.88倍,第3~6节长度比例为100:62:47:16+94,第3节基部有小环状次生感觉圈1~4个。喙伸过中足基节,末节为后跗节2节的0.77倍。跗节1节毛序3,3,3。腹管长圆筒形,为触角第3节的0.94倍,端部1/4~1/3有网纹。尾片有毛6~8根。有翅孤雌蚜腹部各节有断续褐色中、侧背斑,第1~4节有缘斑,腹管前斑小于后斑。触角第3节有小环状次生感觉圈8~12个,在基部2/3排成一行(见图)。
麦长管蚜在冬麦区大都以孤雌蚜成虫和若虫越冬,雌、雄性蚜偶见。在北方春麦区雌、雄性蚜常见曾发现以受精卵越冬。盛夏常迁飞到山区、河套或平原地区的阴凉处所禾本科杂草上越夏。
