【化学成分】
含酚类、鞣质、三萜。
【性味】
《陆川本草》："苦涩，微寒。"
【功用主治】
祛风除湿，消肿解毒。治感冒发热，咽喉肿痛，风湿痛，胃痛，疟疾，痔疮，跌打损伤，疮疡肿毒。 ①《陆川本草》："治跌打损伤。" ②《广西中药志》："散瘀止痛，消肿。治骨折刀伤，风湿痛。" ③广州部队《常用中草药手册》："祛风去湿，按骨生肌。治感冒发热，扁桃体炎，咽喉肿痛，白喉；风湿骨痛，腰肌劳损，胸中滞痛；跌打损伤，蛇咬伤，疮疡肿毒。"
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，2～3钱；或浸酒。外用：捣敷或煎水洗。
【选方】
①治疟疾：山大刀头二两。斩碎，煎好酒四两，在发作前一小时服。(《岭南草药志》) ②治风火牙痛：大罗伞根一两；捣烂。冲温开水取汁含漱。(《广西中草药》)
