青塔湖景区，位于县城东北28公里处，由青塔湖、度假村、龙洞、母猪寨、虹鳟鱼场、百丈绝壁、岳飞庙、老边墙、石蛇挂崖等景观组成。沿邯长公路309国道经豆庄过木井9公里水库砼防汛路便可抵达，也可从县城出发，经索堡、宇庄、偏城、寺子岩、过四沟一垴（平房沟、樱桃沟、大荒沟、老虎沟、三合垴）到达青塔。
青塔湖位于青塔村下，一道60多米高的浆砌石单曲拱大坝，将一泓碧波锁于群山之间。立于大堤之上环视四野，西望母猪寨栩栩如生，东临老边墙秦汉古道（关隘），北倚高关塘陡崖绝壁，南有观景台石阶千余。群峰环绕，碧波荡漾，夕阳晚照，泛舟荡浆，一派"太行西子"之风光、世外桃源之情韵。晨观日出，夕临垂钓，小桥流水，鸟语花香，飞瀑垂崖，水秀山青，没有闹市的噪音喧嚣，没有工厂的浓烟污水，清静幽雅，诗情画意，闲情别致，其乐融融。湖北岸的青龙宾馆，三层拐角洋楼，内外一新，共设40多个高、中、低不同档次的房间100多个床位，另有会议室、餐厅、游艺厅等配套设施，宽敞舒适，服务热情。
青塔湖枢纽工程由大坝、泄洪洞、灌溉洞等组成。水源来自南洺河上游，系海河流域子牙
