花蝇科花蝇亚科昆虫的 1种。世界性分布。体稍小，长3.5～5.5毫米。粉被淡灰色，略带黄色。雄性间额消失或存在,额宽约为触角第3节宽度的一半。两性交叉鬃缺如。触角芒具毳毛。头部侧面观口器窝前缘突出。胸背中鬃2行,排列整齐，中鬃列间距与中鬃一背中鬃列间距相等;腹侧片鬃2:2。中足胫节前背、后背、前腹鬃各1；后足股节无后腹鬃，后足胫节后背鬃2，前背鬃一般2～3，前腹鬃1，后腹鬃缺如。雄性腹部稍带圆椎形,各背板正中具黑色长三角形纵条,不达各背板后缘；第5腹板侧叶内缘末端具一簇短鬃。雌性腹部呈卵形。
