河南鸡公山国家级自然保护区
位于河南省信阳县境内，面积3000公顷，1982年经河南省人民政府批准建立，1988年晋升为国家级，主要保护对象为亚热带森林植被过渡类型及珍稀野生动植物。
鸡公山地处大别山北坡，为亚热带向南温带的过渡地段。区内森林茂密、生物资源丰富，为河南省最丰富的区域之一，植物有148科，1288种，鸟类有150种，其中国家重点保护动植物有大鲵、长尾雉、香果树等。鸡公山还是我国著名游览地之一，避暑胜地，同时也是河南农林、师范、医药等院校教学实习和科研的场所。
