【来源】
为毛茛科植物还亮草的全草。
【植物形态】
还亮草 一年生草本，高30～70厘米，遍体有白色毛。叶片菱状卵形或三角状卵形，长5～11厘米，宽4.5～8厘米，2～3回羽状全裂，1回裂片斜卵形，2回裂片或羽状浅裂，或不分裂而呈狄卵形、披针形，宽2～4毫米。总状花序具2～15花，花序轴和花梗有微柔毛；花淡青紫色，直径1厘米；萼片5，堇色，狭长椭圆形，长约5毫米，后方1萼片，伸出1长距，长超过萼片；花瓣2对，上方1对斜楔形，中央有浅凹口，下部成距，插入萼的距内，下方1对卵圆形，深2裂，基部成爪；雄蕊多数；心皮3。蓇葖果，长约1～1.6厘米，有种子4粒。花期3～5月。 自广东向北至河南南部，西至四川均有分布。

江西《草药手册》："辛，温，有毒。"
【功用主治】
治风湿痛，半身不遂，痈疮癣癞。 ①《植物名实图考》："茎煎水洗肿毒。" ②《浙江天目山药植志》："祛风，理湿，解毒，止痛。治风湿骨痛，半身不遂；外用涂痈疮癣癞。"
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，0.8～2钱。外用：捣汁涂或煎汤洗。
【选方】
治积食胀满，潮热：还亮草、蓬藟各一两，麦芽四至五钱。水煎，冲红糖，早晚饭前各服一次。(《浙江天目山药植志》)
