京剧工尺谱。陈彦衡记谱,许姬传抄录,陈富年校对。由潜乐社发行,初版于1931年。关于《燕台菊萃》的编写缘起,许姬传在序言中曾有如下说明:"皮黄所以之岌岌可危,即在无准词,无准腔,无宫谱,无固定之唱法,以讹传讹,愈趋愈远。所有精微奥妙萃于少数老伶之身,往往抱定非其人勿传之旨,一旦挟其绝艺而逝,后来者未由望其肩背。"因此,他们决定将老艺人的精采唱腔汇集成编,定名为《燕台菊萃》,第一辑为《探母回令》。第一辑出版后中断。
《燕台菊萃》是第一部最完整的京剧唱腔工尺谱。不但剧中各色唱腔全备,念白亦有详尽记录。记录的都是当时著名演员的唱腔,如谭鑫培(饰杨四郎)、王瑶卿(饰铁镜公主)、陈德霖(饰萧太后)等。记录者陈彦衡,对各家唱腔深有研究,所记曲谱准确,工尺、板眼精详。
