形态特征:菊科紫菀属多年生草本植物,高5-45厘米。根状茎粗壮。茎基部叶莲座状,倒卵圆形、长圆状匙形或倒披针形,长2-7厘未,宽O.5-1.3厘米,上部叶长圆状线形或披针形。7-8月开花,头状花序在茎端单生,直径3-4厘米,稀达6厘米。总苞半球形,直径0.8-1.5厘米;苞片约3层,近等长或外层略短,长7-10毫米,线状长圆形;舌状花30-50个,舌片蓝紫色,长12-23毫米;管状花黄色,长3.5-5毫米。瘦果卵圆形,长2.5-3毫米;冠毛1层。
生境分布:生于海拔3000-4500米的高山针叶林林缘、灌丛中及山坡草地。分布于西藏、云南、四川及甘肃。不丹及缅甸也有。
