hQnzi yangbenku汉字样本库(以i~比a晓Icters sp比i刃比enli-bra叮)存储于计算机中的印刷或手写汉字字形样本的集合。一个汉字因有多种字形(不同字体、变形)印刷或多人多次书写而存在多个样本，这些样本的集合形成汉字样本库。如日本电子综合技术研究所的ETL手写汉字、假名样本库，中国科学院自动化研究所的4M手写体汉字样本库等。通常每个汉字要有10个到100个样本。汉字样本库通常分为印刷体汉字样本库和手写体汉字样本库。 建立汉字样本库的作用有以下几点:①是研究识别方法的起点，同时使方法研究走向实用化。②用样本库能对不同识别方法和系统进行客观的测试，评估其优劣。③样本库有利于机器自动学习，便于字典制作(参见汉字识别字典)。 建立汉字样本库的方法和流程是:①根据多数使用情况，选择汉字种类和字形，按某种编码为序，印成或写成汉字样张。如印刷汉字样本库要考虑字体、字模、字号、纸张、油墨、铅印、照排和打印等，根据质量好坏、干扰大小分级制作。手写汉字要选择不同职业、文化程度、年龄、性别、书写习惯和风格等的代表人员，规定书写格式、工具、纸张，也根据书写工整程度、干扰大小分级。②用扫描器扫描汉字样张，印刷体可取48x48一64x64点阵，手写体可取64X64一128xl28点阵。③检出文字外接框，规范化为48x48(印刷体)或64x64(手写体)点阵，二值化或取16级灰度值文字，连同说明、制作参数记录在外存储介质上。 (张沂中)
