学界对汉代的亭、邮的认识存在分歧 ,笔者根据近年一些新资料认为 :(1)汉代的亭并不隶属于乡 ,其性质是禁盗贼 ,和掌管民政的乡里不同 ,和乡是平行关系 ;(2 )邮在西汉时是地方上的文书传送体系中的一种机构 ,东汉人以为西汉时邮被置取代是没有根据的 ;(3 )汉代的驿 ,主要指传送文书、信件的驿马 ,驿成为驿站当在汉以后。
