茶树品种比较试验(eomparative test ofvarieties of tea Plant)简称品比试验。采用从品系鉴定困或选种圃选出的优良品系，或从外地引入的有希望的优良品种，在相对一致的条件下进行比较试验的方法。其主要任务是:在较大的小区面积上，进一步鉴定新入选品系或引入品种的产量、品质及其他主要经济性状，以便选育出优于当地主要推广品种或主要栽培品种的良种，供生产上推广应用。茶树品比试验的小区面积一般约为20一60平方米。种植规格:行距1.5米，株距0.3米，行长7一10米，单株种植，每小区2一4行。
