白溪自然保护区位于河源市紫金县内，属东莲花山支脉，属中山低山丘陵地貌，平均海拔500米，最高峰燕子岩海拔1167.5米。保护区处于南亚热带季风气候区，植被类型主要有丘陵低山季风常绿阔叶林、中山山地季风常绿阔叶林、针阔混交林、竹林等。保护区内有珍稀濒危植物10种，主要有格木、伯乐树等；国家重点保护动物10种，主要有豹、三线闭壳龟、蟒蛇、豺、白鹇等。
