In Dongzhai Harbor Reserve of Hainan Island, Sonneratia apetala arbor population was introduced directly into the secondary Aegiceras corniculatum community.
结果表明 :①直接引入无瓣海桑乔木种群 ,使桐花树灌木群落的物种多样性、生态优势度和群落均匀度增大 ,促进该灌木群落向更复杂的结构发展 ;②无瓣海桑种群的引入不利于该灌木群落中桐花树种群和白骨壤种群的发展 ;③无瓣海桑种群的引入提高了桐花树群落的土壤酸度和含盐量 ,促进了土壤对N、P、K和有机质的吸收与累积。

桐花凤罗扇 古代蜀中名扇。桐花凤罗扇，是以在纨扇上绘画一种小鸟“桐花凤”而得名。“桐花凤”比燕子稍小。羽毛呈淡草绿色，上面缀满绚丽的斑烂五彩，每年暮春三月，成都锦江沿岸紫桐盛开时，群聚树上，盘旋飞翔，恣态轻盈翩迁，是川西南的名鸟，也称五色鸟、么凤。苏东坡诗“故山亦何有，桐花集么凤”中的凤，就是指此鸟。古人曾经摹拟它的动作，创作么凤舞。蜀中古代画家以此为题材，绘在纨扇上，成为名噪一时的艺术珍品。唐剑南西川节度使李德裕，为之作《桐花凤扇赋》：“美斯鸟兮类鸳鸯，具体微兮容色丹。彼飞翔于宵汉，此藻绘于冰纨。虽清伙而己至，常爱玩而忘飧。”从此，桐花凤扇更身价倍增。后人认为，这是蜀工艺扇之始。
