阿耶波多（476～550） ryabhata印度数学家，天文学家。生于华氏城（今属比哈尔邦巴特那市）。他受教育于柯苏布罗城，499年著《阿耶波多文集》，全书分四部分，由118行诗组成。此书长期失传，至1864年印度学者勃豪·丹吉始获抄本。阿耶波多改进了希腊托勒密的工作，用几何方法算得正弦表，在三角学史上占有重要地位。1976年，为纪念阿耶波多诞生1500周年，印度发射了以阿耶波多命名的第一颗人造卫星。 |
