Through a study of the historical documents and investigation data in the first half of the 20th century, the author gives a textual study of the historical features of Kunming Ancient Town, which is of much reference value to the development of the historic and cultural cities like Kunming as well as the reconstruction of the ancient buildings and Kunming Ancient Town.
本文以20世纪前半期为主,依据文献史料和调查材料,对昆明古城的历史风貌加以考证论述,为人们对昆明历史文化名城的开发建设及古建筑物的重建和古城风貌的恢复提供参考。

研究地貌形成发育历史过程的学科，是地貌学的新兴分支。研究内容包括地貌发育时间和各阶段内外营力作用方式、强度及其塑造的形态特征。广义的历史地貌学研究现代地表形态形成的整个历史过程。狭义历史地貌学仅研究人类有史以来，即大体限于第四纪全新世以来的地貌发育。后者近来受到重视，因为：①能使地貌与人的关系更密切；②1万年内地貌发育的古地理环境和以前不同；③对一部分短周期地貌过程，如三角洲发育、河道与湖泊变迁、风成地貌变化、泥石流与地面塌陷等灾害地貌的研究，既可满足时间尺度，又因测试的可行性、观测数据延长的可靠性和史料记载的可利用性均较大，使研究更易深化。从而在一定程度上有利于验证地貌学基础理论，并更好地满足经济建设的需要。
