小苍兰生长株高叶细,直立性差,需要设立支架绑缚,管理不便,影响观赏。为解决这一问题,需对小苍兰进行矮化处理。其方法是:在小苍兰种球秋季上盆时,用冷水将多效唑粉剂配成的溶液放在广口瓶中(配制量根据种球多少而定),然后将挑选好的种球放入配好的多效唑溶液中,浸泡15~20小时。浸泡后捞出种球,用清水冲洗一下就可上盆。经过药剂处理的小苍兰,出苗整齐,株矮叶宽,株高可降低1/3,叶宽可增加一倍,生长健壮敦实,植株碧绿,增加了全株的观赏性。
