描述DregeaE.Mey.南山藤属，萝藦科，分布于亚洲和非洲的南部，我国有南山藤D.volubilis（L.f.）Benth.exHook.f.等4种，主产南部。攀援木质藤本；叶对生，纸质，基部常心形；花排成腋生的伞形花序式的聚伞花序；花萼裂片卵形，内面有腺体；花冠辐状，裂片向右覆盖；副花冠5裂；肉质，贴生在合蕊柱的背后，呈放射状开展，内角延长成一尖齿，紧靠花药；雄蕊着生于花冠的近基部，花药顶端有内弯的膜片；花粉块每室1个，长圆形，直立；雌蕊由2个离生心皮组成，每心皮有胚珠多颗；柱头圆锥状，蓇葖双生；种子顶端有白毛绢质种毛。
