Based on the analysis of the operation conditions of Lurgi gasifiers and due to the disadvantages of γ level detector attached to the ash lock and the difficulties in the popularization of such detectors, the authors put forward a new method to determine the lever of ash lock by detecting the temperature of ash lock with a thermocouple.
