楔型绿地是指用于纵向分割城市边缘集团、限制城市无限扩展、由郊区深入城区的放射型带状绿地。为了改善首都环境质量,缓解城市热岛效应,促进和引导城区与郊区间的空气对流,提高城市防灾能力,全市将在中心市区与郊区之间的西北、北、东北、东南和西南5个方向,建设六郎庄、小月河、北苑、来广营、机场路、左安门、菜户营等7块楔型绿地,其规划范围共计175.6平方公里,预计实现绿地面积约125平方公里。研究表明,楔型绿地建设完成后,其规划范围内的绿地率将由现在的29.6提高到71.2,不仅可以使全市平均绿地率提高6.7个百分点,而且还可以使热岛面积下降15.8。
