性质:指通过植物组织培养方法获得发育完全的个体,将其用适当方法保持起来用以代替天然种子传播的一种结构。1978年,美国生物学家Murashige在加拿大举行的第四届国际植物组织细胞培养会议上,首次提出了人工种子的概念。目前所研制的人工种子,就是由体细胞胚(胚状体)加上保护性外壳(人工种皮)及提供发育的营养(人工胚乳)三部分组成。人工种子具有许多优点,如人工种子结构完整、体积小、也便于贮藏运输。
