In the watershed of Mengnai River within the Tongbiguan Nature Reserve of Yunnan Province, we applied Geographic Information System and Remote Sensing techniques to analyze the impact of cascading hydropower development on landscape diversity, and impact on major protected objects including Dipterocarp forest, rare and endangered plants and animals existing in the nature reserve.

| 龙脑香科 Dipterocarpaceae 双子叶植物纲五桠果亚纲的一科。乔木，常有星状毛或盾状的鳞秕；木质部有树脂。单叶，革质，互生，全缘或具波状圆齿；托叶小或大，脱落。花两性，辐射对称，芳香，排成顶生或腋生的圆锥花序，稀为聚伞花序；苞片小或无，稀大而宿存；萼筒长或短，与子房离生或合生，花萼裂片5，结果时通常扩大成翅；花瓣5片，分离或稍合生，常被毛；雄蕊5～15或更多，下位或周位，子房上位，稀半下位，3室，每室有下垂或倒生的胚珠2颗。果不开裂或开裂，通常有种子1枚，常为增长的宿萼所围绕，花萼裂片中2或3枚或全部发育成狭长的翅。该科约15属580种，分布于东半球热带地区，除非洲热带产2属外，以加里曼丹、马来半岛和菲律宾最多。中国有5属约12种，产云南、广西及广东三省区南部及西藏东南部。
该科植物是热带雨林中重要的树种。主要有用化学成分为树脂。树脂是无定形的高分子化合物混合体，主要用于喷漆工业。木材纹理细致，坚硬耐用，耐湿力强，可造船只、桥梁、家具等。 |
