| 画眉 Garrulax canorus；hwa-mei 鸟纲雀形目鹟科噪鹛属的一种。因眼圈白色，向后延伸成眉状而得名。分布于中国南部和越南及老挝的北部。体形似鸫，体长20～25厘米；通体棕褐色；腹部中央灰色。雌雄外形相似。栖息在山丘的灌丛和村落附近的灌丛、草丛中，在城郊的灌丛、竹林间也可见到。喜单独活动，有时也结小群；性机敏而胆怯。雄鸟好斗，常追逐他种鸟类。受惊时，急速窜逃。飞翔能力不强，常在灌丛中边飞边跳，不作远距离飞行。主要取食昆虫，有时也吃野果、植物种子。鸣声婉转，并善于模仿其他鸟类鸣叫。是驰名中外的珍贵笼鸟。在作物生长时期，能摄食大量害虫，对农林有益。
