| 蜡螟 Galleria mellonella 螟蛾科蜡螟亚科昆虫的一种。又称大蜡螟。分布遍及世界各地。中国广东、广西、云南均有记载。雌成虫体肥大，前翅外缘明显向内凹陷。翅展20～40毫米。成虫头部和胸部红褐色，腹部暗褐色，前翅灰褐色，翅面有黑褐色鳞毛，翅后缘的鳞毛较多。翅端有4条短灰白色斜线。后翅灰白色，翅顶端颜色稍暗。蜡螟的幼虫在蜜蜂巢内取食蜂巢的蜡质，并吐丝造巢扰乱蜜蜂在蜂巢内的正常活动，严重破坏蜂巢的结构，以致迫使蜂群逃逸。成虫羽化后，在傍晚乘工蜂守卫巢口不备之机，潜入蜂巢内，产卵于蜂巢蜡脾上。幼虫也能为害毛皮和羊毛。年发生1～2代。以蛹越冬。 |
