Combined with the features of the Shuibuya spillway,monographic study of the problems about high-speed water flow,such as batholith washing,air corrosion,corrosion reduction of aerated flow,atomization of water flow and so on is carried out and optimization measures are put forward for reference in designing.

The turbulent jet theory and water flow momentum equation are used to establish the mathematic model for calculating bedrock scoured balance depth of river bed under the action of left-right collision of water jet from high arch dam in considering 3-D diffusion,leakage collision flow and collision energy losses of water jet dispersion in the air.

In this paper, the recent studies on the scour around pile foundation and the existing problems with the scour study are introduced, and the development process of pile foundation scour and the affecting factors for generating the scour pits are also discussed.

The existing offshore platforms become more and more unsteady because of the pile foundation scour,especially for the aged platforms which have served for a long term.
