盆栽龙吐珠，每年早春须进行换盆，新的培养土可用腐叶土4份、园土4份、砂土2份配制。龙吐珠因产在热带，生长期间，应给予充足的光照，但夏季炎热季节要注意遮荫，合理浇水。龙吐珠喜肥，可每隔7一10天施一次稀薄饼肥水。开花前可多施一些磷钾肥，使花开得更鲜艳。平时若适当施用一些0.2%的硫酸亚铁，能防止叶片发黄。同时要注意打顶，以利促进分枝，多开花。龙吐珠为攀援性植物，为保持其株型优美，要及时修剪，使植株矮而丰满、花繁叶茂。入冬前植株要移入室内养护，室温宜保持在12-15℃左右。
