【来源】
为大戟科植物尼泊尔野桐的根或树皮。
【植物形态】
尼泊尔野桐 落叶小乔木，高约5米。树皮平滑，嫩枝有黄色毛。叶互生，多丛集于枝端；叶柄长8～14厘米，具黄色毛，嫩叶带红色；叶片阔卵形，长12～18厘米，宽13～16厘米，先端尾状突尖，基部圆形或截形，有腺体1对，边缘微波状，下面散生黄色腺点。总状花序顶生。蒴果椭圆形，具黄色毛；种子黑色，半圆形。 生于杂木林中。

【性味】
性平，味辛。
【功用主治】
根：治骨折、骨结核，二至三两捣烂敷。树皮：治狂犬咬伤，一至二两煮糯米粥吃。
