描述GlyptopetalumThw.沟瓣木属，卫矛科，27种，分布于亚洲南部及东南部，我国有10种，产云南、贵州、广西和广东。灌木；叶对生，具柄，无托叶；花排成聚伞花序；萼4裂；花瓣4，离生；雄蕊4，着生于花盘上，药隔扩大，药室叉开；花盘3裂；子房陷入花盘内，4室；花柱短，每室有自室顶垂悬的胚珠1枚；蒴果近球形，熟时内层果皮不裂并与外层分离，内有种子1－4颗。
