| 无芒雀麦(bromegrass) 禾本科雀麦属的一个种，学名Bromus inermis Leyss.，多年生草本牧草。又名无芒草、光雀麦、禾萱草。原产欧洲、中国和西伯利亚，在中国东北、西北、内蒙古均有野生。 根茎发达，生长三四年在地表10-15cm范围形成交错密集的根层；茎直立，叶片披针形，叶鞘紧密包茎，叶舌膜质较软，无叶耳；圆锥花序开展，每枝着生小穗1-6枚；小穗含花4-10朵，外颖披针形，通常无芒或在背部顶端有短芒，内稃短于外稃，颖果与内稃等长。 性喜冷凉干湿的气候，抗寒性强。耐干旱，耐盐性较强。在多种土壤上可以生长，最喜肥沃的粘壤土或砂壤土。对氮肥特别敏感。 春秋两季均可播种，以夏季雨水充沛时播种为宜。在华北和黄土高原可播种。条播行距30-60cm。每公顷播种量15-30kg。苗期生长缓慢，及时中耕除草，第二年起生长旺盛，再生性强，每年可收割两三次，割后灌水追施氮肥可显著增产。三四年后地表根茎密结，应用圆盘耙耙茬，切断根茬，改善土壤通透性，以更新复壮。适于与紫花苜蓿混播，放牧用可采取与豆科相间条播。在干物质中含粗蛋白16.10%，粗脂肪2.7%，粗纤维29.9%，无氮浸出物39.6%，灰分11.7%。
