【来源】
为唇形科植物冠唇花的全草。
【植物形态】
冠唇花 草本，高1～1.5米，全株有香气。茎四方形，被短柔毛。叶对生，卵形或阔卵形，边缘有粗锯齿，基部阔楔形，下延至叶柄而成狭翅，两面被疏柔毛。聚伞花序腋生或顶生；萼钟形，萼齿5，近相等而后齿稍大；花二唇形，上唇盔状，褐色或紫色，下唇黄色，平展，先端3裂：雄蕊4。小坚果卵形，腹面具棱，背圆，褐色。花期10～12月。 生于林荫处。分布广东、云南、贵州等地。
【采集】
夏、秋采收，晒干。
【性味】
性温，味苦辛。
【功用主治】
芳香健胃，温中理气。治感冒风寒，喘咳气急，消化不良，气胀腹痛，肠炎痢疾。
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，0.5～1两。
